What are alternating labels?
Alternating labels are printed front and back on a single roll, ideal for machine applications that apply front and back labels simultaneously.
How to create your alternating labels correctly:
1. Create a print file
Use a graphics program such as Adobe Illustrator and place the front and back labels on the same artboard.
2. Define width and height
Add the widths of both labels and add a cut in between.
Sum the widths of both labels and add a cut in between.
Example:
- Front label width: 90 mm
- Back label width: 80 mm
- Intermediate cut: 5 mm
- Total width: 175 mm
- Front label height: 100 mm
- Back label height: 90 mm
- Total height: 100 mm

Note: If you order 1000 units, you will receive 1000 front labels and 1000 back labels, according to your print file.

This is especially true for wine labels, as the bottles are usually relatively unadorned and, depending on the growing region or grape variety, conform to certain standards, i.e. they do not offer a unique selling point for your wines.
