Meet the team: Denise

Who are you and what characterizes you?

Hi, I’m Denise. I’m a calm and thoughtful person, and when I find myself in a new situation I like to take my time before I fully open up. I like to listen to others and always try to be there when someone needs help. It is very important to me to treat people with respect and kindness, and when I am passionate about something I get involved to the fullest. Even when there is a bit of chaos, I usually keep everything under control. And yes, sometimes I’m a few minutes late, but I can always be counted on.

In my free time I like to stay active: I play tennis, beach volleyball and, when I can, I wakeboard. I love to learn new things and keep growing, but I also value my routines because they give me order and balance.

What has your career path been like so far?

A few months after finishing my training I decided to spend a year in New Zealand, and it was an amazing and very positive experience. In 2018 I returned to Germany with new friends and many ideas for the future. Shortly after that I started a new job and, in the summer of 2020, I joined the etiqueta.es team, where I am still working today.

How did you become part of etiqueta.es?

The company was already well known in the area and had a very good reputation. I was looking for a new professional challenge and sent an unsolicited application. At first nothing came up, but when the right position came up I was contacted. I was very excited to start in the Customer Service team.

What is your role at etiqueta.es and what is a typical day like?

I have been working in Human Resources since October 2023, thanks to an internal promotion. Before I was in Customer Service, but now I am the person my colleagues turn to when an important or sensitive issue arises. My tasks include recruitment interviews, onboarding new colleagues, payroll management and the whole organization behind each process.

No two days are the same: every day brings something different and there are always new situations to learn from. Also, at etiqueta.es, training is highly encouraged, so I always have opportunities to continue to grow professionally.

What do you like most about your job?

I have always found it easy to connect with people and understand what they need. In my work this is fundamental, because trust is the basis of everything. Every person is different, and it is precisely this diversity that makes my work so interesting.

… and of etiqueta.es as a company?

Without a doubt, what I like most is the work environment. There is a very positive atmosphere and the relationship between colleagues is close, almost like a family. Even though it’s work, it often doesn’t feel like work. There is respect, there is a lot of laughter and almost always someone brings something sweet to share.

What has been your best moment at etiqueta.es so far?

It is difficult to choose just one. For me, the most special thing is the team atmosphere. At etiqueta.es they make sure that employees feel valued and comfortable, and they also offer many benefits. Among the moments I remember most are the team events, such as the summer or Christmas party, when the whole team gets together to enjoy and celebrate together.
